Year 7 Offers for September 2023 Entry
I would like to welcome all pupils and parents/carers who have been made offers to join us in Year 7 in September 2023 to the Lawrence Sheriff community. I would encourage you to look at our Year 7 transition website, which contains information regarding key dates and a wide variety of material which will be of interest to you and your son over the coming months.
Our induction day is scheduled for Wednesday 5 July 2023. The school will be sending out our offer packs in May and these will contain information about a wide range of issues such as the arrangements for the transition day, school uniform and school life at LSS.
Whilst parents/carers may have already provisionally indicated to Warwickshire County Council that they will be intending to accept the place offered, please note that the forms which will be sent as part of this pack must be returned to the school within two weeks in order to formally accept your son’s place at LSS.
Occasionally some parents/carers decide that they wish to decline the offer as they are moving out of the area, emigrating or have accepted a place at a private school. If this is the case, please would you confirm this in writing as a matter of urgency so that the place can be re-offered to another applicant.
I would like to share one final thought directly with all our new Year 7 pupils: I know that the move from primary to secondary education can feel both exciting and daunting at the same time, but I know that you will be both happy and successful here, and look forward to the contribution that each one of you will make to the life of the School in the years ahead.
