Exams – Post Results

‘Post Results’ is the term used to refer to the services available after you have received your exam results that allow you to gain more information about your performance and to query results.

Post results requests can only be processed at the centre where you took the exam, so any post results queries for RHS exams must be directed to RHS.

Summer 2010 season dates:

GCE Results:                                                         19 Aug

GCSE Results:                                                       24 Aug

Last date for ordering photocopies of GCE papers:     27 Aug

Last date for ordering re-marks or originals                20 Sep

Photocopies

For GCE units only, it is possible to order a photocopy of your exam script (cost £12, cash or cheques made payable to Lawrence Sheriff School) but only until 27 August (sooner is better).  This is so that you can gain an expert opinion on whether it is worth getting the paper re-marked.

Re-marks

You can pay to have your exam paper re-marked for both GCE and GCSE.  The price varies between exam boards and qualifications.  See the re-mark form available in the downloads section for more details.  No requests will be accepted without a fully completed form.  However, you should be aware that:

·                the mark can go DOWN as well as up if it is re-marked.

·                Re-marks of this sort are not possible for centre-marked coursework.    The only service possible is the re-moderation of all the centre’s scripts.

Original scripts

You can pay to receive your original exam script back from the exam board (cost £10, cash or cheques made payable to Lawrence Sheriff School).  However, these are not dispatched until mid September (or later) and you cannot order a re-mark once you have received your script back.

More information is available in the Exams FAQs or from the Exams Office.
