The notes and dates below give you an indication of the pattern of events over the coming months.
The first two dates are the Open Evenings. We strongly recommend that you attend as this is an ideal opportunity to look round the school, see presentations on each A level course you may be interested in and most importantly you have the chance to ask teachers questions about their subject area. If you are considering studying Drama, Psychology, Sociology, Classical Civilisation or Home Economics we would encourage you to attend the Open Evening at Rugby High School too.

Sixth Form Open Evening at Rugby High School 7pm-9pm. Where you can study one of the following; Drama, Psychology, Sociology, Classical Civilisation or Home Economics. |

Wednesday 21st November 2012 |
Sixth Form Open Evening at Lawrence Sheriff School 7pm-9pm. Application packs will be available at this event.

The Open Evenings are for Year 11 students interested in joining the Sixth Form. We encourage parents to attend too.

Thursday 22nd November 2012 |
Application process for all (LSS and students from other schools) is opened. This means you can now submit your application. Places are limited so you should get your application to us as soon as possible.

Friday 14th December 2012 |
Final date for receipt of applications. This means that as there is a high demand for places with us, any applications received after this date will be deemed late and no decision can be made about a place until the GCSE results day in August. |

Week beginning 4th February 2013
|
Start of the informal meetings with potential students (and parents if they wish). Nothing forbidding – a “get to know” session. Please note - Informal meetings with external applicants will be held in March 2013. Letters advising candidates of their appointment times will be despatched shortly.

GCSE Results Day 22nd August 2013 |
Individual meetings with potential Sixth Form students following GCSE results. The final part of the process. Students return to Lawrence Sheriff School with their GCSE results and following a successful meeting with a member of the Sixth Form team they will receive a Welcome pack, containing all the information they need prior to the start of term in September. |
